Sarson da saag and makke di roti

Hi🙋‍♀️

Sarson da saag and makke di roti.

This is very famous and healthy recipe for winter.

Mustard is known as Sarson in hindi and saag means greens.
Mustard and Bathua greens are available in winter so every house have sarson da saag and makke di roti for dinner very often.

Sarson is little bitter in taste so we have to add Palak and Bathua to decrease bitterness..

Best companion for Sarson da saag is makke di roti...means roti made of Corn flour. Makke di roti is served with topping of white butter and jaggery.

Ingredients:

200 gms Sarson da saag
200 gms Palak da saag
200 gms Bathua da saag
3 pieces onions
3 pieces tomatoes
1 tbsp Garlic paste
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chili powder
Salt to taste.
2 tbsp butter
2 cup corn flour( this is special flour which is used for making rotis)

1. Clean all greens with salty water.

2. Cut properly and separate leaves.

3. Put it to boil. Add onion, tomatoes with them. Let it cooldown

4. Put it to blender and blend properly.

5. Pass it though sieve.

6. Add it to frying pan and cook keeping gas on medium flame.

7. Add ginger ,garlic paste turmeric and red chili powder. Add salt as per your taste.

8. Once it starts boiling, add 1 tbsp corn flour, makke ka aata, turn gas to simmer.

10. Add 2 tbsp butter and serve hot.

You can chop onions and roast separately then add saag paste to it or do it my way putting everything in one vessel and boil it.
