Writing after long long time.
Today's recipe is Makhana kheer.
Ingredients:
2 cups Makhana(fox nuts)
500 gms milk
1 cup sugar
8 almonds
8 pistachio
1 spoon kismis
Half cup cashews
1 tbls ghee
Few strings of kesar (saffron)
Direction:
Roast makhana and all dry fruits in a pan.
Take out half cup of makana,2 almond, 2 pistachio, few kismis and cashews for garnishing.
Grind remaining makhana and dry fruits.
Boil milk in a pan.
Take out half cup of milk, add some kesar and keep it aside.
Once milk starts boiling add grounded makhana and dry fruits.
Stir continuously, it will be thick in few minutes.
Add kesar milk, sugar and makhana.
Stir for few minutes.
Cut remaining dry fruits which we kept for garnishing.
Transfer kheer in to serving bowl and garnish with dry fruits.
Yummy healthy makhana kheer is ready.
