Aaloo puri

Hi everyone,
Took a slightly long break, but now I am back with new and simple recipe.
Usually Aaloo puri is made in a method similar to Aaloo paratha but today I’m going to write about an alternate way of making Aaloo puri. We will mix everything and then make puri from that dough. It is a simple and a quick recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
5 boiled potatoes
2 cups Maida
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp Cumin seeds roasted and crushed
1 tsp Red chili powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp Fresh coriander
2 cup oil for frying
Salt to taste

Take boiled potatoes, peel them, then mash.
Add maida flour, 1 tbsp cooking oil, roasted and crushed cumin, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and fresh coriander and kneed the puri dough, gradually adding water until firm dough is formed. Leave to rest for 15 minutes.

Grease dough with oil, then cover the bowl with lid. Leave the dough to rest for a few minutes.

Make small dough balls and rest for max 4-5 minutes. Roll them out. Make sure to keep the puri thicker from the center or it wont puff properly.

Now deep fry the puris in well heated oil and while frying, gently press them so as to help puff them.

Serve with your choice of sauces.

Hope you will like this recipe.

See you soon with new recipe.
