Dhokli nu shaak

Today I would like to write about dhokli.
We make dhokli with two types of flour, wheat and gram flour.
When we want to add dhokli to any vegetable we make wheat flour dhokli but when we want to make dhokli’s sabji we use gram flour(besan) for dhokli.
First we Make dhokli and then we will make subji with that dhokli.

Dhokli  subji.

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups Gram flour(besan)
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp  cumin seeds
1 tsp Hing / Asafoetida
5/6 curry leaves
2 cups buttermilk
1 tbsp jaggery
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste.

Take a bowl, add Besan(gram flour), 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, and salt to taste.Mix everything well, add water and make semi solid dough.
Take a pan, add 1 tbsp oil and heat it. Now, add mustard and when it start bursting, add cumin seeds and hing.
Now pour the semi solid dough in it. Stir continuously. Within a minute or two, dough will become a lump.
Shift it to a dish and spread, now make small pieces of that lump. Our delicious dhokli is ready.
There are many ways to make dhokli but I like to prepare my dhoklis this way because it is very simple and quick.
Add oil and mustard to a pan and when it starts bursting, add cumin seeds,hing ,turmeric, curry leaves and buttermilk.
Stir it continuously. After a minute or two add dhokli to pan. Let it boil for some time with lid on. Now add jaggery then let it cook for 5 minutes.

Delicious dhokli subji is ready. This is very tasty and easy to make.
