Lauki/ Bottle gourd paratha




Hello everyone,
Today I will show you how to make lauki/ bottle gourd paratha.
I know many people don’t like lauki but you should try this. Even if you don’t like Lauki sabzi, you will like this paratha. Lauki has many medicinal benefits too. It is very healthy at the same time easy to digest.

Lauki paratha

INGREDIENTS
250g.lauki or bottle gourd
1 cup wheat flour
1/4 tsp. Hing/asafoetida
1 tsp.turmeric
1 tsp.red chilli powder
Salt to taste

Grate lauki, add salt and keep it aside for sometime.
Take flour add 2 tbsp.oil ,turmeric, red chilli powder and mix everything properly. Add grated lauki or bottle gourd in it. Mix everything and knead a smooth dough. Let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
Make medium sized dough balls. Roll it with help of roller board and roller pin by sprinkling wheat flour on roller board and on dough ball. Try to keep it medium, not too thin at the same time not too thick.
Place rolled paratha on hot tawa.Keep medium flam and let it cook for about 30 seconds. Flip it. Sprinkle oil and spread it. Flip again, same way apply oil. Press little with spatula, flip it again. Take care that you flip only 3 to 4 time to keep paratha soft.
Your delicious lauki paratha is ready. This lauki paratha can be served with curd or pickle or you can simply have it with tea as a snack to go along with it.
