Bhindi ki sabji

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are well, and enjoying my blog.

Hope you guys are using my recipes.

I try to write recipes which are simple at the same time easy and quick to cook.

As students you don’t have much time for cooking so i try to bring in things which can be prepared in 15 to 20 minutes and you can have proper filling food at least once in a day.

My daughter is also studying abroad so i know it’s very difficult for you guys to come from university and then cook food.

Today’s recipe is bhindi ki sabji /okra /ladies finger

INGREDIENTS :

250g.bhindi

1 potato

3 tbsp oil

¼ Hing

½ tsp turmeric

½ tsp red chilli powder

Salt to taste

Wash bhindi properly , wipe it with clean cloth or you can spread it under the fan for a while so it gets dry.

After drying, cut bhindi in small pieces and Cut potato in small pieces.

Take a pan , add 3 tbsp oil ,heat, add  hing, and turmeric ,wait for 2/3 seconds and add chopped bhindi and potato in it. add salt to taste. Mix everything properly. Cover pan with lid. Let it cook for 5 minutes.

Open lid stir carefully, ensuring bhindi does not get mashed. Let it cook for another  5 minutes without lid on. Stir carefully & for the last one minute, keep the flame high. The extra oil will come out which can be used to cook another vegetable that you may cook later.

You can have this subji with roti or bread.

Also you can have with rice, adding little curd.

Hope you will like this recipe. Thank you for reading my blog.

As i say suggestions are always welcome.

See you soon with new recipe.
