Green vaal
This is one of the winter special vegetables. This is available only in these 3-4 months of winter.
It is very easy to make and simply delicious. You can make it as spicy as you want. In chilling winter, Gujaratis love to eat green vaal with bajra no rotlo.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg.vaal
3 tbsp oil
Pinch of Baking soda
1 tbsp chilli ginger paste
Salt as per taste
1. Boil oil and water together with pinch of Baking soda
2. Add peeled vaal into boiling oil and water
3. Add salt as per your taste.
4. Let it cook for 15 minutes, cover with lid and stir occasionally.
5. Add chili ginger paste
6 . Cook for 10 minutes more
7. Delicious green vaal is ready
8. Serve it with bajra rotlo and urad dal
