Hi everyone,
How are you all?
Monsoon is here, and it's a real mood. Its pouring heavily, so in city like Mumbai or Pune it is very difficult to go out. But you don’t to miss out on the delicious kanda bhajji, which is a rainy mood staple.
This recipe has been shared with me by my cousin Archana.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Besan
1 tbsp Suji
1 tbsp Rice flour( optional)
2 Onion
1/2 tsp Turmeric(Haldi)
1/2 tsp Red chilli powder(mirchi powder)
1/4 tsp Hing powder ( asafoetida)
1/2 tsp Cumin coriander powder(Dhanajeeru powder)
1 tbsp chopped Green coriander
2 cups Oil to fry
Salt to taste
Cut the onions in long thin slices. Add Besan, little suji and if available, a little rice flour. Add salt, haldi, mirchi powder, hing and a little dhanajeera powder. Mix well, with very little water (almost nil).
Take a deep pan and start frying.
Crispy Kanda bhaji is ready.
Serve it with sauce and chutney. Also with ginger tea.
