Today I am writing about a very useful spice named Fenugreek, which is commonly known as methi, is one of the well known spices that is commonly used across Indian kitchens. Loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, methi is also considered as one of the healthiest spices.
Today's recipe is stuffed capsicum but stuffing is of fenugreek / methi so lovingly called Methiya marcha.
Methiya marcha
250 gms small capsicum
50 gms methi ( fenugreek)
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp hing
1/4 tsp sugar
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste.
Slit capsicums horizontally from one side and take out seeds. Keep it aside.
Take a deep pan, add methi and roast it, till it turns brown. Let it cooldown. Grind roasted methi. Add turmeric, hing, pinch of sugar and salt to taste. Add 2 tbsp water to bind it. Now stuffing is ready, fill it in capsicum.
Add oil to a deep pan and start putting the stuffed capsicum one by one, let it cook for 10 minutes covering with lid.Stir carefully and occasionally.
Your stuffed methiya marcha (capsicum) is ready.
