Today's recipe is Khatti dal
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup urad dal
3 cups buttermilk
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp hing
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
Salt to taste
Take some urad dal, boil it, add buttermilk to it and let it boil. Now, take a small deep bowl, add oil and let it get heated. Once it is heated, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing and turmeric. Add this tadka to the boiling Urad dal. Now add chilli power and salt as per taste.Boil the dal for 5 minutes and then garnish with roasted cumin powder and coriander leaves. Your tasty dal is ready!
This dal is so delicious that if you do not have any subji, you can simply eat dal roti.
This dal is mostly cooked in winter with brinjal subji and bajri rotla.
