Hi everyone,
Today I am writing about Methi thepla.
When last time I wrote about lauki thepla I wrote about variations you can make by adding Methi or cabbage instead of lauki.
This is my dear aunt's recipe. She makes Methi thepla very tasty at the same time very soft that you feel it gets melted in mouth.
I would like to give her credit for teaching me this wonderful recipe.
Today's recipe is METHI THEPLA.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup finely chopped methi
2 tbsp sour curd
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp sugar/ jaggery
5 tbsp oil
Salt to taste.
Take a bowl , add 1 tbsp oil, mix both well. Add finely chopped methi, turmeric, chilli powder, jagerry and salt to taste. Add curd and make dough. Add water if required.Make it soft . Rest it for some time.
Now make ten round balls and roll it on roller board circular in shape.
Heat non stick tava, put rolled thepla on tava, when you see bubbles coming up turn it . Put little oil, turn it. Apply oil on other side also. Cook for 2/3 seconds, turn again. Press with spatula.
Make all other theplas just like that.
Most important thing is how you cook it on tava. You should not turn it more then three times otherwise it will become hard like khakhra.
You can have this theplas with tea or sweet pickle.
Hope you will like this recipe.
See you soon with new recipe.
Mouth watering please check it may be Thepla
