Masala rice.

Today I thought of writing about what to do when you have left over rice. If there’s not dal or sabzi available, how will you eat the rice?
Yes you can have it with milk or buttermilk or curd but you can also make a way more tastier option, masala rice, from it. This will also add to another new variety to eat.
1 cup cooked rice
1 finely chopped onion
2 tsp.oil
1/2 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp hing
1 clove(optional)
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp Garam masala
1/4 cup boiled peas(optional)
Salt to taste.

Take the cooked rice in a bowl. Add turmeric,chilli powder,Garam masala,and salt .Mix everything well and Keep it aside.
Now take a pan , add oil,let it heat. Add mustard seed and clove,when mustard start brusting add hing and cumin seeds. You can add karipatta  green chilli , or cinamom etc but I want to keep it simple. If you like it/ have it ,you can add it. Add finely chopped onion. Let it cook for some time.
Now add rice to pan. Mix everything well.let it cook for 10 minutes with lid on stiring occasionally. Add boiled peas. Mix well. Let it cook for 2 more minutes with lid on.
Your masala rice is ready .
